"Oh," the unicorn said, "I guess you have caught me. What now?"

"Is it true you can purify anything, and remove poison?" the virgin asked.

"I can."

"How are you at hiding?"

"I can't hide from the innocent, but can evade anyone else."

"Good. I'll need to smuggle you into TV news studios."

Absolutely damning article by Greg Kim in yesterday’s Seattle Times detailing Harrell’s failures on homelessness. 🧵https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/homeless/seattle-breaks-records-on-homeless-tents-removed-encampments-cleared/
Seattle has tripled encampment removals
In the past two years, Seattle has taken down more than 8,000 tents, removing encampments at a breakneck pace that shatters recent historical precedent.

Y’all, the Save Act just passed in the House, and moves to the Senate. The SAVE Act would make it more difficult for voters to continue participating in elections, and would erect unprecedented barriers for new voters hoping to register and participate. #StopSaveAct #StopTheSaveAct

A bright light to start off the month. Thank you for your inspiring work @booker.senate.gov !!!
WATCH: Sen. Cory Booker has broken the record for the longest U.S. Senate speech.

Booker's marathon speech breaks the previous record — Sen. Strom Thurmond's filibuster against the Civil Rights Act of 1957 that stretched for 24 hours and 18 minutes.

The SAVE Act doesn’t save anything. Its main effect is to make it harder for women to vote, especially those like me who changed our names when we married.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

The weather this week makes me feel like I’ve moved to the Midwest. Cold and damp -> sunny, warm and in bloom -> windy storms with hail that I’m expecting to strip all the lovely flowers off the trees.

Congestion pricing works for healthier communities. And the dollars are going into public transit for long-term support of the community. This is great.
Unqualified success. The clearest, most inarguable public policy success in ages.

In light of the most recent fuckery from HHS, I think it's worth mentioning that "Survival of the fittest" was not coined by Darwin, but by Herbert Spencer, who used Darwin's theory of evolution to justify his eugenics beliefs and what came to be called "social Darwinism."
