I watched a LOT of medical dramas this year. Hospital Playlist lacks all the tension and stress of say, Trauma Code, that comes from the medical emergencies. Instead it’s a slice of life workplace drama about friendships that just happens to be set in a hospital.

I watched ep 1 of Hospital Playlist many years ago and dropped it. This year I restarted and by the end of the show I LOVED it. It is a show that takes its time to show you the characters; by the end I felt they’re real and missed them.
On the other hand Resident Playbook disappointed me.

A large part of the charm of #MySweetMobster was the Thirsty Deer gang all living together in one giant fancy house. The idea that the ex-gangsters would want to live together let alone cook and share meals is ridiculous but also hilarious and sweet.

10. Last, I still think it’s hilarious that in #MarryMyHusband Japan, the characters are alumni of the same university, and it was filmed at MY alma mater, Rikkyo University in Tokyo. I’ve only ever seen 2 jDramas; what are the chances? 😅

I agree with you on both of those.
I think if I were ONLY using Duolingo I would get to a point where I couldn’t keep making progress. But all the hours and hours of kdramas I watch are the natural sounding input and realistic phrases I need. Duo helps me with reading and medium frequency vocab.
