Aucklanders, I have a migraine coming on, and won't make it to Pearl Jam tonight. If you'd like my seat in section 10 (for free) let me know. You'll obviously need to be able to get to Mount Smart for the show - gates open at 5pm, supports (Liam Finn, and Pixies) start from 6pm.

I haven't been spending much time here - mostly lurking on the other site, and doing stuff (like drawing and painting, working too much and sleeping not enough). Saw The National and Fazerdaze last night, and it was great. My videos are on YT, if that's your jam.

Moderating YT comments is usually nice - it's folks sharing a passion for live music. But something about The Chick's (w/ protest footage behind stage) and Sam Smith's glorious enjoyment has really brought out the grumpy old white guys with pithy disgust. Just scroll on by, I'm only gonna delete ya.

I usually ignore the marketing emails I get, but free shipping from the garden centre tempted me this morning as I lay in bed. I was watching the price, but not really volume.
In the light of day, I see I've bought 28 things (really 79 plants). My container garden will overflow if it all survives.

Making biscotti on a night when it is already warm inside, and I need to keep the window closed because of fireworks and cat.
Not my finest idea, but at least I’ll have biscotti for breakfast! Now I have to wait for it to cool at little before baking the slices.

A bonus of my retinal disease is an early predisposition for cataracts, and I’m not stoked about being ahead of the curve on this one.
They are, of course, treatable (unlike the other stuff), so glad for the privilege of health insurance that work pays for, when I decide it’s the right time.

I've been quite sick with a cold - repeated tests tell me it's not covid - and my immense frustration is not helped by the fact that my trackball/mouse is endlessly scrolling down at speed, as I was impaired enough to spill hot blackcurrant juice on it!
