For my partner it would be to ask him if he wants advice (which would be a rare occurrence), a sympathetic ear, coffee, or a trip to Home Depot.
Listen up folks. When your partner is venting, it's so so important to let them finish and then actually ASK THEM if they want advice or comfort, chocolate or wine, a back rub or a new kitty, an all expenses paid trip to the bookstore or a solemn oath of vengeance. This is the way. Trust me.

When faced with anger or hateful words, pause and look beneath the surface. Often, there is fear, sadness, or worry behind the behavior. Viewing others with compassion, like scared children, fosters understanding. Listening deeply can bridge divides, heal polarization, and guide us back to love.
