My favorite Cub was Ryne Sandberg. Unassuming, rarely got into arguments with the umps, & truly had a love for the game. He deeply had respect and passion for baseball. He always acknowledged the fans & their support he’s received throughout his career. A true class act, on & off the field. #ryno

Illinois would benefit greatly from a true safe storage law that requires all firearms to be securely locked up when not in use. SB8 is not that bill. SB8 would not even apply to the 70% of Illinois households that don't have minor children. #needsimprovement 😐

Good news out of Illinois! This week, the Illinois General Assembly passed Karina’s Bill, legislation to strengthen current law requiring people subject to domestic violence restraining orders to relinquish their firearms. #Twill
Illinois lawmakers pass Karina's Bill, aimed at protecting domestic violence victims from gun violence
The legislation is named in honor of Karina Gonzalez, who was shot and killed – allegedly by her husband – in July 2023.

This was the last week of school before the holiday break. What should have been a week of excitement for upcoming festivities is now a nightmare. At least two families will have empty seats at their holiday tables, all because of America’s all-too-easy access to guns.
