Things are not black and white over there. I maintain Bibi played Trump like a fiddle. I believe Israel has a right to exist and a right to self defense. Israel's strikes on Iran didn't seem to be self-defense as we usually define it. And they forced Trump's hand which wasn't hard to do. 3/

But the US doesn't have a good track record with regime change. In 1953, our CIA overthrew the democratically elected govt in Iran, and re-installed the shah because he would play nice on oil prices. Until he didn't. Iranians believe we could have prevented the revolution and chose not to. 2/
