The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate.

The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns.

Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care.

The list goes on and on.

Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

Public broadcasting and radio aren't supposed to be about making money. The point is to educate the populace and provide factual information to the public. NPR and PBS have made me a better, more informed person. Congress better fight for these! arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...
White House calls NPR and PBS a “grift,” will ask Congress to rescind funding
Markey: Cutting NPR and PBS “is not budget discipline, it’s cultural sabotage.”…

This administration has convinced half the country that the real problem isn’t billionaires who evade taxes and collect government handouts but the working class who pay taxes and get nothing in return.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to programs that millions of people rely on.

4) Repeat.

Don't let them get away with it.

Trump's CFPB, now under the command of billionaire hedge fund manager Scott Bessent, has halted the Biden admin's rule to ban medical bills from credit reports.

It's been estimated that the rule would help improve the credit scores of 15 million people.

Some populist, huh?

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

Really think about how twisted this all is.

Buckle up for higher prices and an economic downturn, all brought to you by the serial liar who promised you cheaper eggs so he could materially enrich his billionaire buddies at your expense.
