it definitely doesn't surprise me because I have had dudes adamantly refuse to check stuff like that because how could it be wrong? they do it dozens, if not hundreds of times a day they say!!

well technically they didn't! it got escalated, I was trying to reproduce, as was a coworker off-site (I came up with nothing), he figured the laptop was fixing the ground issue when connected (as it was plugged into a wall outlet for power) and they checked/re-grounded the controller and voila!

A nice change of pace, past self usually makes bad food decisions and leaves me dealing with the consequences!
