Yeah it's a world of a difference. I've been meaning to learn Siril properly anyway so might as well add SAS to the list too

Yeah I had tried taking the FIT files and stacking it myself using deepskystacker but I never got even close to the results the Seestar did so I eventually gave up
I'll give astro suite a go next time too

Interesting, my attempts were in alt az too. Maybe I need to try stacking in Siril, so far I've just been using the Seestar stacked image

Can't seem to figure out the reasons for so much noise. Both nights were extremely clear. Only guess is the fact that it's a Bortle 7 area

Yeah that makes sense. I didn't consider how heavy the S50 would be for a regular ball mount

Had to darken the background because there was a fair bit of noise. Just wish there was more resolution on M82's starburst locations
