Alternative version of the ship meme that I did a few days, but one character gets replaced with Bowser. Long description under the cut. As if BriTwi isn't already a rarepair as is due to how obscure those characters are, allow me to introduce an even more rarepair. I have been talking to a friend that happens to be a huuuuuge (and I mean that very seriously) Bowser fan, and she just so happens to inspire me to like this ship. Doesn't really help that I love to think that Twila happens to have some sort of connection (non-familial, ofc) of Bowser's army in terms of her items and her design. She helped me out as to how Bowser would (mostly) act in a relationship. Might be a few here and there fanon ideas, but hey, I'm all for it since my take on Twila has a lot of fanon ideas. Guess I don't need to go into detail that my friend loved how this turned out, haha. It's been a while since I drew Bowser and he came out rather nicely. BriTwi will always be #1 in my eyes, but this pair is a pretty close second. :)

I spent at least a couple of days working on this ship meme. xD I learned a lot about FireAlpaca along the way too! The original template was mainly made for OCs, but I decided to use it here because why not? It looked good! I also added and removed a few couple of things that the original didn’t have, and I spent too much time prettying this up lol. I think I’m probably only going to post this on my personal Reddit and Tumblr, though I might post it on Bluesky too. Don’t really feel like it’s professional for my other social mediums. Other places kind of expect more out of me in terms of my skills, but I felt like being on the casual side of things lately. Don’t really feel confident in posting it in the BrightonAndTwila subreddit for some reason. I had fun making this, nonetheless. :) Might make another one like these with another ship that I like, hehe. Yes, I do ship these two, clearly. I know some of you prefer to keep them as friends or see them as siblings. That’s cool, and if stuff like this bothers you, just block me lol. I also added in a couple of tags that can be blocked. I don’t really like pointless discourse, and I think various interpretations of these two are interesting anyways. If you’re curious about the template, just ask. Paintings take a whole lot of time, and I have a very bad habit of wanting to paint immediately after sketching, which causes me to not sketch as much as I would like. I’m in the process of changing that mindset to sketch more. I think that would be beneficial as this will subconsciously allow me to paint more in turn. For the time being, I’ll be posting up sketches in hopes that it will encourage me to draw more in general. I hope it works out for me. I wanted to sketch this as the camera pans in a certain angle as the rain was focusing on the character, but for whatever reason, it looks... strange to me. Not sure if it’s the rain or the character, but I digress.

Anyways, I always wanted to draw Twila in a wonderful Horror Land costume. That costume was built for her! I also wanted to add the Power Moon design from Super Mario Odyssey! It seems like her staff got a powerful upgrade. I also gave the Power Moon a smile in reference to Super Mario World’s 3-up moons! I will admit that I struggled painting the first picture. I didn’t really like the way SAI 2 blends colors through its own blending algorithm (colors turn out so muddy and were hard to control). I think even before then, the color direction was not the best. 🙁 Nonetheless, I still liked how this turned out for the most part. No A.I. was used for this piece.

First piece of the year! I painted this while I was under a lot of stress, and it was therapeutic. Just wanted to paint one of my characters, Claire Jade. I also wanted to play with Nightshade, and it doesn't like my computer too much! Ha!
