No real point to this, except me wondering how I ever came upon that blog in the first place, whatever happened to the original writer, whether it was always part of "The Sneeze" or if it got glommed up somehow, and all the other things one wonders about ancient web history.

Which...I don't think that's the intention, and that it's meant to be used as an ingredient in things, not eaten cold out of a can. But I have to admit the "food fright" factor is high on that one.

Such a lovely, well-written article. I'm looking forward to the book!

All batches done, batch 1 put into containers, batch 2 cooling, very tired now, the kitchen might not stop smelling of roasted cereal for weeks. The cereal holiday gods have been appeased for another year. Good night and good luck to all.

Last bit of batch 1 is almost done. The rest is cooling. Now to rest a bit, then get going on batch 2: extra spicy edition.

Oh no! I'm so, so sorry. It's so not fair.

First turning done without horrible catastrophe. Back in the oven for another 15 minutes...

I've always had a soft spot for Holiday Inn (while acknowledging its problematic aspects) and this sparkly dress. Just look at how it moves! Plus and always: Fred Astaire.

Awesome! Do you prefer your brownies "cakey" or "chewy"? I have variants for the recipe both ways. Or I could make two batches, one of each...or send the recipes if you don't in fact want baked goods from random internet friends. 😅

If you can do caffeine, I make espresso double chocolate brownies. Not that I don't look forward to your posts, because I do, but yeah, apparently you are so fundamental to the 'net that Epic Unlikely Shit Happens when you're not looking.

...just like anyone else. The only thing that has changed since I was young is that trans people are able to be more visible now. Not without risk, and not without struggle, and needing allies to support them wholeheartedly. But trans people have always been here, and I am grateful for that.

...there have been among my trans acquaintances that one or two who were annoying, not because they were trans, but because they were assholes. And sometimes people are assholes, or just don't click, or don't get along.

Trans rights are human rights. Trans people deserve love and respect and joy.
