The downside to that is it makes chores unbearable if I’m always stressed or anxious and it makes buying books a feat much like Sisyphus since there’s been a lack of QA for some publishers

Unfortunately my anxiety in a tolerable way takes two forms:
1) cleaning because it’s one of the few things I have control over
2) making sure books I buy aren’t damaged in any way as it is another thing that I have control over
