I also gotta say, I *heavily* relate to Pearl in a very autistic way. I don't blame any autistic person for not wanting to relate to a fictional murderer but that monologue really got to me 😅

I finally watched Pearl and it was truly one of the best horror movies I've seen in a while. You can make fun of me for being cliche; I don't mind! I don't know why I put off watching it for so long. I knew I'd enjoy it 😜🖤

I accidentally brought a date to the IHOPKC coffee shop once. It was about as awkward as you would expect. Between meeting up with my date for the first time and explaining that I did NOT realize this was a cult coffee shop, I almost died from embarrassment. 😩

My research is telling me that while abusive ABA still happens, way too often, training ND children into acting neurotypical is not the goal anymore. So that's a relief. 😅

I understand they've made lots of progress; ABA isn't the same as it used to be, but it still makes me really nervous when someone hears I'm autistic and brings up ABA. I'm not a child, first of all, and I cannot be molded into the shape of a neurotypical person (the original purpose of ABA)

The discussion surrounding ABA is complicated because you *do* have to know how to sit still and be silent sometimes. It *is* really beneficial to know what the neurotypical rules are.
I don't think you need to train a child to act a certain way all the time. Why can't they wiggle while they learn?

They took away my SNAP because I had an "increase in income" (that I didn't have), and now my interview is scheduled for APRIL. I'm supposed to wait until April to eat, I guess. So yeah. If you think it's easy just living on benefits, I'd love to see you try it.

As a leftist who grew up loving Wicked, Glinda's choice is not my favorite. That's for certain. HOWEVER, I don't think she is the type of person who could've chosen differently. She would need to be a completely different person.
