There are so many terrible things happening in the world right now, and yet sometimes an unexpected moment of beauty catches you by surprise. This is what the night sky looked like last night in Las Lajas, Panama — a beautiful halo encircling the moon for a few brief yet breathtaking moments.

After getting back into town after spending a lovely Thanksgiving with my in-laws in Chicago, mu husband and I got to check out this very fun concert. If you have the chance to hear your symphony perform this, it’s two hours of pure joy!
