I completed one toe up ankle sock from leftover yarn and I cast on another one. While watching videos on super stretchy darning needle cast off, I also learned that I have been picking up side stitches wrong my whole life. Now I want to redo the previous socks, cuz they are going to be a gift.

Today is the one year anniversary of when we picked up Beef Wellington. He has destroyed several pairs of shoes, 4 remotes and what is left of our sanity. He bellows at the deer who live in the pasture behind our house every day. He loves people, other dogs and his pig toys.

I finished a pair of socks and have a scarf started. My tension on the scarf isn’t consistent and I don’t think I have the right yarn for the pattern. I am going to finish it, and see if blocking helps.

We have been camping in Lassen National Park. We did 2 hikes, Bumpass Hell and Boiling Springs Lake. We got our national
Parks passport stamped cuz we are nerds. We played a new for us card game (Arkham horror), which is probably better with 3-4 people.
Basically touching grass, as the kids say.

I planted sunflowers one year, 3 years ago and ever since then I have gotten random sunflowers in the back yard. I love them cuz the redwing blackberry birds come to perch and eat the sunflower seeds.

Another thing that I hate about it has to do with employer provided health insurance. My employer has a ‘wellness’ program tied to insurance that is you link your wearable to a 3rd party wellness program you can ‘earn’ money for your FSA/HSA. I am slaying it

This morning while I was walking Sadie, Beef got a loaf of bread off the counter and ate a whole loaf of bread. And he dug another hole along the fence.

Tomorrow is D&D. I made peach crisp for dessert tonight and for tomorrow after the game. I picked up French vanilla ice cream to got with it. I also made two single serving sized peach crisp for one of the guests who lived alone to take home.
