It's time I learned how to make videos. I don't like my face, so none of them will show me. I do like my voice, so I am good with that.

Here we have the elusive D&D cleric. The flail head is a large jingle bell. No subtlety here!!

I wish I could do more to help my friends who are in worse places than I am. I wish I could do something. Anything.

I wish someone could help me.

I know I carry stress in my legs and in my chest. Both feel terrible right now.

But I will keep up just making my silly little things and keep at it.

We're about to be sewing our brains out (again). We're in the Street Fair at the Lakes in May, Geek Craft Expo at the end of March, and hopefully a local show here in Ely, MN in April.

Spent the evening at the local Folk School manning the fort while a class on wet felting was happening. It was cool. And also, kinda magical looking outside. Dark outside, just the folk school lit, and snow on the ground.

Today is a much more positive day. The world is still scary af, but if I can make it better for one person, I am making a difference. They can then do the same for someone else. It's not huge, but every little bit of useful positivity and resistance is good.

Day of big emotions. Anger, regret, sorrow, angst, and a lot of other things. Ended the day with pride in my sibling and forgiveness for myself. Also, a whole lot of killing monsters in Diablo IV.

Entered quilts into a local art show - this is a thing I have never done before! Hoping it goes well! This one is called Eclipse.

THE BOOK OF THE UNNAMED MIDWIFE by @megelison.bsky.social.

What a wonderful novel. Follows a midwife wandering a post-plague America secretly supplying birth control to outnumbered, enslaved women. Humane & complicated & messy & dire & inspiring. And, wow, TIMELY.

Do you ever just want to shake someone until their brain cells rattle together and make a coherent thought???

Today is a depression day. Yay.

The last of four applique wall hangings I am working on. This one is The Forest Cathedral. Now on to the pinning and quilting!!

The newest quilt top. Pretty soon I have to start actually making the sandwiches and quilting them!!

This one is "The Escape" and the grey parts will be quilted to look like bricks, and possibly have graffiti stitched onto them. #quilting #quiltsky #sewing

Hoping that we get a LOT of responses to these NTT surveys.

If you are a historian teaching off the tenure track, in any department/program/unit, we want you to take this NTT survey.

History department chairs, there's a separate survey for you too. 🗃️
The AHA seeks to collect information about the working conditions of historians employed as contingent faculty. We hope the survey results will empower faculty to engage in evidence-based negotiations about their working conditions. 🗃️

Today, I am making an effort to change the way I think about chores (almost typed whores, which would be an entirely different conversation). Instead of a To Do list every day, I am going to have a Done list at the end of the day, so I can track all that I actually do!

Making a mini-me. No, no mouth. The plush and I are both working on facial hair.

Hanging out in my bedroom, doing some hand sewing and watching Forensic Files. Outside, it's 19 degrees F and feels like 7. Oh, and snow. SNOW!!!!

I am not physically transitioned yet. Scheduling top surgery is tricky with so much going on in life right now.

As a result, I have very few good pics of "real" me. I have hated photos of me since... forever.

I think I am getting better? Maybe?
