well we'll see what actually ends up happening, but essentially itd be like instead of using a desk analogy like a desktop with folders and files, Id make a 3d* environment with various physical abstractions and objects to represent things!

so far i have drawn a circle on the screen :)

its this sweater, its one of my favorites actually. I always wear a sweater, i take it off it it gets to be too much which isn't super often since i dont walk home as much anymore

fun fact! the Dwarf Fortress title screen is a png, and therefore can be edited :)

I added a little sign above the door, it's a very small touch because the art is already very pretty!

Twofold, really. In Blender, I define the position of each 2d part of the texture as related to an empty's position, in godot it'll just be floats I think, but I can't seem to get Godot's behavior to match.

@andichxyz.bsky.social sorry to bother, having a bit of an oddity-- setting up a simple toon shader type thing, but the little shape around the eye, which should be black, turns white when I apply my shader. First pic is with the shader, second pic is the correct color but without the shader.

bit of change, bc I've been working on reducing the amount of materials. Down from 15 to 5 on the main model, there's a couple other meshes that technically aren't joined as of now, but that's only like 3 more materials. Performance is gonna be a really important thing with this one.

The single most difficult material is probably going to be the mouth, because I, not thinking ahead or knowing that I'd need to think ahead, thought it'd be very interesting to do this: (pictures)

Each piece on that texture can be moved with the shape keys, which are drivers on empties.

NOWHERE near finished. but I'm really loving how this is going so far. Lots of temporary elements, but the general placement of things I think is right. Let me know what yall think of it!

(Decided to headcanon that the robomaid is made from an old minifridge, and the drawing is of me working on it)

heck yeah!!!!!!!!! see this!!!!!!!!!!! that's what progress looks like!!!!!!!!!! The runes are loading properly!!!!!! I just need to set some internal variables to they work properly and then set up all the other ways they can be combined and then debug till the cows come home but this is huge!!!!!
