YA author of the Langley Irregular series and of international best seller Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor.
I keep a sharp lookout every time I'm at the airport, which isn't often. Oh! Vanity!

You as well. Rest. Recharge. Recover.

Broken-hearted about your dog. I know how it hurts and grieve with you.

Wrapping up month 4 post-op for my knee. Swelling is still present and using it hurts a bunch, but not as much as previously. Getting better and, if anything, recovery is speeding up. Hope you are experiencing the same.

Absolutely a partnership! Teammates, working toward a common goal! Mutual respect for what each team member brings onto the field and trusting in their expertise. Is there really any other way?

I've termed that niche as Bridge YA, outgrown MG but not ready/interested in older teen YA. My take is that reading skills are advancing faster than their emotional levels. From author events I've been to, tweens and early teens are just not interested in relationship drama.

Recalling how I wept, my heat is breaking for you. There are not easy answers in this battle. Know that my heart is filled with love for you and your family.

Not every YA reader is interested in romance drama, especially at the youngest end of the reader spectrum. Contrary to what's out there on the shelves, a romantic subplot is NOT a required ingredient for YA structure.

Recently met Jonathon Stroud, author of Lockwood & Co. Great writer and all around fantastic human being. I love his writing and think you'll enjoy the books. There's a group of fans in UK supporting Lockwood & Co., pressuring Netflix to reconsider. Whole thing has a Firefly vibe to it.

It was QUICK! We noticed swelling and thought it was a sprain. After a few days of no improvement we took him in. That was a Wednesday. Official diagnosis came back Thursday. Friday, his leg broke simply walking across the floor. Friday night, he was gone. It was that fast!

Sorry I haven't been on bluesky much. I'm more a twitter-er. Your tip turned out amazing for me. Nothings finalized yet, but things look to be on the right track.

Also, your tip on TS Ferguson as editor also seems to be a wonderful thing.

Thank you so much for looking out for me!

We really have to stop sharing tragedies. Lost our Irish Wolfhound to Osteosarcoma week after Thanksgiving. We had no choice but to put him down. WE are grateful he didn't suffer a long, protracted battle, which was a blessing, but he was family. My heart is breaking for you and yours.

He'll either pass or not, but either way, he'll remain amazing. Still, I'll offer a prayer for the first option.

When you are the sole survivor in a post apocalyptic world, for if there is so much as one other on the planet, they will happily share with you a better way to live your life.

Didn't know you fell. I am so sorry. Hope it didn't damage any new parts.

SO frustrating that recovery from this procedure is such a slow process. I'm not good at this whole being patient, Zen, all in good time, thing. Next time I see you, let's share a glass of red and laugh at ourselves.

This Thursday, Feb. 20, will be my 6 week anniversary. At 3 weeks I was wrapping up in-home PT, transitioning from walker to a cane, VERY SHORT walks up and down my street, lots of ice, lots of rest, very tired. Wasn't driving at that point. Ice packs were my friend. Everything was in slow motion.
