In 2017, having sold my first two, speculative fiction poems. I was inspired to write another, and the result was "Hungry Thing," a poem heavy on mood and mystery, plus a hint of dark humor. Two weeks later, I wrote another with a similar vibe, "Remembering Gladys", so cemented 1/7

The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after. And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before. If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too. I was notified this week that my 200-word horror story, "The Curse of Loneliness" had been chosen for inclusion in "ALONE", the latest anthology by indie horror publisher, Black Hare Press (blackharepress.com).
I'll follow up with publication details once they become available.

Sanctions Evasion: Rogue states and criminals bypass banking restrictions; 6. Political Dark Money: Anonymous crypto donations influence politics with no transparency; 7. Fake Decentralization: "Decentralized" protocols controlled by insiders or small groups; 8. Gambling & Wash Trading: NFTs and tokens are traded artificially to inflate price and hype; 9. Lack of Real Use: Claims of real-world utility rarely materialize or scale. 10. No Accountability: Hacks and scams result in no recourse; "code is law" shields bad actors

Given the news about a rash of FAKE photo ops between the oathbreaking insurrectionist ex-chief and AI-generated black supporters, I thought an unmistakably fake parody was due, but Bing Image Creator blocked my Tom-foolery, alleging a content policy violation. Hopefully, some artist will step up.
