I simply can’t watch this anymore! One of the great orators of our time and yet he is so diminished. Be it by himself or the people around him.
All I can think about is how incredible he would have been if he had upheld his promise to be a “bridge.”

I genuinely appreciate your devotion, but I have to respectfully disagree. I love the man more than anyone, but he said he would be a bridge and instead chose to be a roadblock.

He could have done much more. I’m not saying he did nothing like the person you’re responding to, but his inability to suspend his ego and actually be the bridge he claimed he was may have fundamentally altered the trajectory of this country and I don’t think that should be brushed aside.

Two years and a dollar short! He should have dropped out a long time ago and this speech at that time could have made a difference.

Instead his ego and his team propped him up. He claimed he wanted to be a bridge to the next generation and in all likelihood ended up being a bridge 2 more struggle.

It will fall on deaf ears after having been delivered by a man who could have had more influence had he opted to give this speech a year and a half ago while announcing he was not running for a second term.
