Our job is to hold both sides of the Senate to their promises and push our U.S. House of Representatives to do the right thing, go back to Washington, and vote in the best interests of their districts.

If the peope aren't able to eat, nether should Congress. With all the media opportunities Marjorie has had lately, why is she silent on this? Maybe because she voted for a 30% cut in benefits starting next year when she supported the Big, Beautiful Bill. Shameful!

When I get to Congress, I'm going to fight to not only ensure that SNAP is never impacted by another shutdown, that Members do NOT get paid during and don't receive backpay for another shutdown and that their food allowance is stopped during a shutdown.

While serving in the Middle East, I briefed Ms. Pelosi on foreign policy many times. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and reasoned in her questions and responses. She fought for her constituents and the American people during her 37 years in Congress.

Our representative has spent a lot of time on TV recently, yet she’s never mentioned SNAP. Maybe that’s because she voted for the Big, beautiful Bill that includes a 30% cut to SNAP benefits. Time to start working for the people Marjorie!

Once elected, I will support legislation that not only requires SNAP benefits to continue during any future shutdowns but that stops Members of Congress from being paid and cuts off their food allowance!
