Garden peony, ranunculus, anemone and the rare yellow cardinal! This is actually a post about me supporting people living their best, authentic lives. Love flowers and birds? Great! You’re a lgbtq+ or trans person? I 100% support you. Be you. I have your back.

How horrifying. We must keep resisting this fascist regime.

As we’ve warned before, the Trump administration has subjected around 80 staffers to lie detector tests. America, please understand—this is not normal.

Thank you, Senator Cory Booker and the people of Wisconsin. You have given us all hope and have ignited the fire of resistance. As Senator Booker said, let’s “redeem the dream” of America.

Hope I used “bet” correctly. We will overcome this fascist takeover attempt.

Bet
Just a reminder that America will in fact crush fascism.

It will take a while and it will be messy.
But bet on it.

Finding some joy in the gardens today. 50 degrees and sunny in Michigan. (Sun tea inspired by Meghan and my hubby - a Lipton fan). My twist: Rose hips, oregano, thyme & lavender.

47 has no heart or soul. I am pro National Parks, Canada, Ukraine, equal human rights, and for restoring Gaza for the Palestinian people.

Spotting these mushrooms along my trek today prompted a pause for pictures. Little acts of joy for me consist of hiking, taking photos and connecting with friends.

Frozen prints spotted on my hike and healthy Eustoma seedlings in my flower studio sprouted from seeds sown in mid-December. Both prompted me to pause, feel joy and to breathe.

Looks like I combined fascism and racism and created a new word in my last post. Whoops!

The new administration’s acts of rascism and rally cries against DEI are a disgrace. My heart breaks for families divided and detained, and for those who lost loved ones in the airplane and helicopter crash.

Year-end sights on foggy, damp hike on a favorite trail. Newly fallen trees since last visit. Wishing for knee-deep snow in the New Year.

Organizing my dried flowers for the local market. This pretty bunch is larkspur (Smokey Eyes). The soft purple hue is sublime. #gardening
