A thought that has been rolling around in my little head recently is the phrase "To have a village you need to be a villager."
I agree, but I am also exhausted at being the villager that everyone takes advantage of and ignores.
So where to draw the line between a villager and the village idiot?
Mermaid supplies, in a box. Doesn't look like much, but the hours of labour it represents is staggering. I'm very grateful for it.
The story here is one of sustainability, commitment, and dedication.

New Moon new projects
I'm hosting a small class for a few friends on a little selflove poppet So I'm prepping using a repurposed pillowcase Some can't sew so I'll do the boring bit and they can decorate and turn these scraps into precious little mini-me's to cherish as we should cherish ourselves

In February I went to Hawaii with www.wildandsacredwomen.com on a sacred retreat and shaved off a few harsh edges that had been starting to form.
www.anoukpross.nl joined us and grabbed this and many other photos.
It was a trip I needed, and it helped me to hear me again.

In an attempt to practice what I preach to the bonus kids, I am making a record of the art and craft supplies I have to stop me over buying.
Pencil crayons are currently being swatched. Some of these names are very very silly though.

Plans for the day sidelined by my partner's potential chest infection.
While we wait for the pat on the wrist and the reflexive antibiotic prescription, we sit on hard plastic chairs in the emergency rooms waiting lounge.

Working on my mersona, and part of my spiel is I gained my fins by removing farm waste from a river when I lived in N. Ireland.
I need some accessories to wear, and I've decided to make it out of recycled materials, like I'd find in the waters. Popcans turns out, make great scales.

She's finished, a collaged canvas, painted with acrylics and water colour crayons. I'm calling her my Door Protector and she will hang facing the most used entrance to my home, protecting my space.

Still working on this painting, and at one point I thought it closely resembled a fresco that had some 'touch up' work done on it.
It kept me laughing through the ugly stage.

Inspiration struck and I'm painting again.
Right now we're calling it the ugly peanut stage as I wait for my layers to dry before I add depth to the face with shading then tweak the details.

I am trying to teach myself accurate sewing so I'm making patchwork curtains out of 1.5" squares. This panel is a little over 1000 of them.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Media and digital literacy are key to disrupting disinformation.

--clapping back/arguing just helps to amplify bad faith accounts & false material

--don't share "funny" disinfo to dunk on it; some will still believe it

--BLOCK, REPORT, and tell others to do same *without* sharing disinfo content
It was inevitable, but it’s still good to be aware that this is happening here, now.

If you see suspicious account/comment, remember: Don’t engage. Don’t argue. Don’t clap back. Don’t screenshot and share. Just block and move on.

The new moon is a good time to plant seeds, hoping they will grow into something marvelous to harvest.
To create a social media space full of support and genuine connection I ask for volunteers to let me tell them something I find awesome about them.

The other places hid my posts. Let's start fresh

Time to renew some old practices from other forums methinks.
Social media, I believe, is what we make it. So I'm going to bring my daily gratitude back, full moon requests and new moon awesomeness.

I can't change the world, but I can change the world around me.
