I read earlier that the first step to becoming an artist is to consume art. There's a gallery nearby, so I visited it. Unfortunately, I was kicked out for "eating paintings." Bogus advice methinks.

Captured this guy last summer and took a few photos before releasing it. Decided to sketch it out. It is (probably) a Red-brown stag beetle, but it had some yellow markings that don't seem regular on them.

Line Thickness & Repetition
Didn't know what to draw today, so I figured I'd try and just exercise my hands. Lots of repetitive movements, thickening lines, and laying down more until my hand started cramping. Then, I repeated that a few more times throughout the day.
