No you're remembering correctly, I think his sister goes after Lara and then they look for his grave (?) and talk about how much he meant to them.
They say to not speak ill of the dead, so im guessing that's why they don't mention how he lived in filth surrounded by his porn stash 🤣🤣🤣

Because Carver was a proper little Marty Sue, Lara even had an episode where she wants back and was sad at his "grave" 😂 She was so out of character I couldn't even take it seriously...

Yeah at first it was a bit of a shock to have another playable character, but after I saw the second part of the game I warmed up to him too 😁

Tbh I was kinda annoyed at a "stinky boy in my Lara game" when I was a teen, but now I really appreciate that they made him stand out in the looks/design department compared to the usual "white male with short brown hair wearing GAP's autumn collection" 😂

But the fact they weren't able to finish the product as intended was a faaar bigger issue imo than any of the changes they wanted to make.

Tbh it did seem like a bad idea at the time, but then the rest of the franchise happened, so in retrospect I'm much kinder. Also they were trying to launch a second franchise with him in the lead, so doing a soft launch via existing ip is usually a good move.

Same. Some fandoms have just not migrated here at all. Also the userbase seems to be mostly US.

I think the team of TR3 kind of stopped caring, maybe it was the time crunch so they were kind of "whatever" and just made everybody the enemy lol. In 1 and 2 they did seem to care that human enemies would be explicitly bad people. 3

...and most victims were supposed to be to be too mutated to be saved (except in the London underground, thoug their boss never seemed too fussed about this??
For me the ones which made the least sense were the guards at the British museum?? That was really unnecessary. 2
