Maybe after we get a new title and a Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection, they can swing back around and re-do Classic MegaMan, in retrospect this one is so much worse than the others, especially rough next to Starforce's 11 year difference though.

I've come to the conclusion that the Mega Man Legends games are going to get remade, Every Legacy Collection finds some way to 1-up the one before it but Star Force is going so specifically insane the only way to 1-up is to remake tbh.

Its really arrogant of me to say this but I will anyway I'm positive I'm a bigger Mega Man fan than 95% of the people doomposting about a lack of new games, I want one too but I can still appreciate the continued insane efforts put into the Legacy Collections and a fun Kart Racing appearance.

All the mistakes and gripes I've pointed out with how Konami has handled Bomberman over the years are valid but what's insane is that in spite of the questionable quality and content of the new games, what actually failed them is the pricing, even contemporaries know better, why did they go $50?

The models in Super Bomberman R were roughly ported over and cleaned up a bit for Super Bomberman R2 but many of their finer details were lost or suffered in the process, probably most notable with Magnet and Sexy Bomber who ended up with contorted proportions and bugged textures respectively.

It's hard for me to be upset about a game that lets me fight as stylishly as all those newgrounds sprite fights I used to watch back in the day.
Yeah I wish it was harder and maybe a bit faster but I come back to this more than any modern beat em up atm.

Right? Even if Secret Base didn't develop the next entry you'd think they could at least take their designs and world and just go from there, ArcSys got some of the best 3D visuals in the business imagine D Sloogs artstyle or translated to 3D models by their fighting game team, It'd be sick!

I only ever got to play the trial version on 360 but It can never get lower than that I suppose lol, I just wish I could get behind the character designs at least but nah man they all look generic and uninspired, this guy puts it best lol

I love Neon I've loved it for years but I recently played through it with a friend and yeah i still love it but like i realized this is the type of parody game that would have gotten annoying had they kept going in that direction, even with run cancels in Neon you can't express yourself like DDG.

It was/is also genuinely fantastic and is still getting 6 additional character later this year bringing it up to 24 playable fighters.
Legitimately the most underrated beat em up from the last 5 or 6 years.

Lastly it makes sense to go in a cartoony direction for Bomberman's aesthetic given the designs, but why not extend that to the gameplay visuals, what on earth did he mean the SNES games were realistic? this series shines in 3D when it just tries to look like a living cartoon, go in that direction.

Bomberman IS blatantly heroic in the majority of games in the series, including the very SNES games Okamura claims to have grown up with, Its weird he brought up a possible anime adaptation with this approach too, Bomberman has had two animes and neither depict the series in the light he describes.

Did some digging recently and found an interview about Super Bomberman R's development, with all due respect I've heard he was/quite involved with Metal Gear and Zone of Enders but maybe have Noriaki Okamura sit out when it comes to Bomberman, this is such an ignorant take to have had on the project

This is the most underrated beat em up from the last 5 years at least, so much player expression found in that tag mechanic and currently 18 fighters to mix and match between and 6 more on the way that'll bring the roster to 24, massive roster for a beat em' up.

Hudson Soft's Dual Heroes, this game has a reputation as one of the worst titles on the N64 and a terrible fighting game, but I enjoyed it as a kid and revisiting it as an adult I found it completely competent even has a few unique mechanics and gimmicks, It's no Tekken or VF but not everything is.

Been dabbling in Bomberman 64: The Second Attack again recenty, I'm very happy you can still do this, as satisfying as ever.
