I was excited to find these little mushrooms on the greenbelt, which I thought were the tasty meadow mushroom, or Agaricus campestris. Meadow mushrooms have pink gills that darken with age. However, closer inspection revealed they were the toxic yellow stainers, which turn yellow when bruised.

This one is going in the family collection, but you all can follow along with me as I go along. Also, I *might* offer limited prints, I haven’t decided yet.
The bones are sketched in, now we add detail. Knowing me, it will have a lot of detail work before painting begins.

I’ve finally have a positive ID on these mushrooms growing by the Boise River. They aren’t toxic, but apparently, they taste terrible. I’ve still got my eye out for signs of fall oysters.

The Adventures of Robin The Dog: New Orthopedic Mattress + New Baby
The dog refuses to get out of bed now except to eat and potty.
I took her to zamzows. Told her she could pick out two things within reason. She even passed on cookies and bones to get this new mattress.

The forest is getting quiet again. It’s my own private Idaho. If you look closely in the last pic, you’ll see our new friend, the garter snake who swam and played with us most of the afternoon. Cheeky little fellow.

Showed my granddaughter (16 mo) the cool rocks i found yesterday. She tasted all of them, and thus, i declared she was going to grow up to be a geologist. Her mother pointed out that she literally puts everything in her mouth, but i remain steadfast in my prediction, logical arguments be damned.

I've tried making him an indoor only cat, but it breaks his little heart, and mine to watch him suffer. So i keep trying new ways to keep him safe while still letting him have outside time.
So today we are back to the leash, which has its own set of cons, but at least he can't escape.

Granddaughter's first time seeing the animals at the zoo. She had a blast. She especially liked the giraffes 🦒 and all the different kinds of birds.

I walked into a front gate to deliver a package, and then i was swarmed by baby goats, and now any house that doesn't provide a baby goat for me to pet will be considered lacking.

Baby boy is as strong as they come. Mom is still pretty sick, but her vitals are fine and she'll bounce back to her sassy self soon enough.

I'm glad you posted it! I saw it briefly out the window, but then i saw this and decided that sunset pic would have to wait for another time. Poor baby girl is just as tired as the rest of us.
