Jan 24 2016 - a tree in a front yard is covered in a thick hoar frost (thick fuzzy white ice) sparkling in the sun. Other trees visible are also frosty. Deep snow covers the residential street behind it and the yards around it. Deep ruts are in the street from passing vehicles. The sky is a soft blue. Jan 29 2005 - an overhead tree branch covered in a thick fluffy hoar frost that is 3-4 inches thick! A bright blue sky is in the background - photo was taken looking straight up.

On Remembrance Day I share my Grandfather - Lionel E. Fennell. He volunteered in 1939, left a wife and two small boys (4 & 3 yrs). He didn't get home. #NeverForget #Veterans

During my time in the Canadian Armed Forces we were UN Peacekeepers in Germany, Cyprus and Egypt - but I never left Canada

Forearm of a person that has been painted with a series of overlapping autumn leaves. Starting at the bottom (the hand is at the top of the image) is a light green maple leaf that is slightly turning yellow, then two birch leaf types that are under the first leaf that is a dull brown/tan with dark veins, under those is another maple leaf that is bright orange and yellow, under that one are two more maple leaves that are starting to curl and dry up, the first is bright red and the last under that is brown and starting to rot.

The cloisters at Mission San Juan Capistrano in California, with very deep shadows. Taken in 1988 - a scan of a photograph I took. Shadows being cast in cloisters of the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo which was built on top of the Incan Temple of the Sun / Qoricancha which is still clearly visible in Cuzco, Peru. Photo taken in 2003. The shadows being cast across the white marble floors and arches at the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca in 2017.

A colourful print in an abstract style - centre is bright light yellow, that appears to glow like the sun, which fades out to oranges, red/magenta and violets around the edges. There are darker areas with more ink (left after blotting with paper) that resemble a group of people in the lower part , and streaks and blotches in the sky, with what looks like a large tree to the left of centre that runs through the whole print.

The Cloudforest Pygmy Owl lives in the cloud forests of the Andes in Columbia and Ecuador and is a vulnerable species.

This tree is growing over/out of an Iron Age fort on the slopes overlooking Loch Lomond. Taken in 2006 - I got permission to scatter some of my brother's ashes there, in amongst the roots.
