Just wanna share the weather app that I use (and donate to). It's got a bunch of data sources to choose from, very nice customizable widgets, and the dev who maintains it has a super lovely outlook on life and on contributing to society. Give it a peek 😁

I’m looking for help to pay off July’s rent balance. This month is really slow for gig work. I’m applying to jobs and working on a certificate for a career. Please help me get through this time of year if you can #mutualaid #mutualaidrequest 💕💸

today I spent like 3 hours going down a rabbit hole for a thing that my security eng peeps are doing. I was deep in the design docs and prds and scratch notes. When it clicked it was such a cool feeling!! I was like oh fuck, damn, wow.

There's something about putting in the elbow grease. Idk.
Using AI to do your work is Temu productivity. Do you want to buy the clean girl aesthetic of getting things done with the currency of global warming, anti-intellectualism, and the erosion of labor rights? Or do you want to get messy and actually learn things so you can do cool shit?
What we’re seeing is a collective move away from “plagiarism is a bad thing and you should feel bad if you do it” to “plagiarism is the future and if you don’t do it, you’ll fall behind”

Thirty-three days ago, we released Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

Since then, we’ve sold 3.3 million copies.

Seriously. As of today.
We couldn’t make that up.

Another entry on the long list of surreal moments that your support has made real.

Thank you ALL.

The case for proportional representation is undeniable.

CTV reports on how our democracy distorting voting system fuels regional divisions, and how proportional representation can fix it.

@mark-carney.bsky.social, will you champion a system where every vote truly counts?

Crazy that Kitchener Centre is going blue because of the split vote between Lib/Green. Mike Morrice is a great MP. First past the post voting sucks.

The Wikimedia Foundation, which owns Wikipedia, says its bandwidth costs have gone up 50% since Jan 2024 — a rise they attribute to AI crawlers.

Imagine a music streaming app that doesn't shove podcast and audiobook ads down your gullet when you just wanna listen to music for $20/m??

Imagine being able to open the app and just see your recently played and discover queues, and not accidentally tap some bs? Wow, imagine that, wild stuff
