@hilli.tech @davemark.com Lads, might be something for the podcasts.

Apple added both these apps to home screens in iOS 26. Games is clear enough, but after opening the Preview app a couple times I still have absolutely no idea what it does.

I'm stunned at the lack of affordance from Apple here.

Same. However it's the Black Mirror killer robot dog for me.

I didn't notice it for ages, but they also provide this option in the sign-in email.

Sam, it would be worth making it more obvious

My reason for preferring that option is that due to the way the iPhone works, it will visit DI from within the email app, so I then can't use the email app for email.

Probably their most important change.

Maybe they are elsewhere, but this image - with the car intruding into the pedestrian crossing space - doesn't scream "deferential" to me.

The woman might be interested in the Waymo, or she might be trying to make (impossible) eye contact to confirm her safety.

Not for me

If the trial needs 12 months for learning (for seasons and large annual events such as matches or marathons), then it might make sense to make it 15 months to allow the full 3 months for the assessment.

My favourite (almost) traffic filter in Ireland - in Castletownsend in Cork. @irishcycle.com

What do you reckon...is the Iveagh Gardens by @opwireland.bsky.social open or closed on March 17th? iveaghgardens.ie

Stats from the U.S.

Would be useful to see similar for Ireland - presumably would have large impacts on the vibrancy of our cities and towns.

I've just looked up why my family always called these "slaters" whereas my also-Irish wife had never heard that phrase. www.icge.co.uk?p=woodlice#:....

A climate version occurred to me after seeing @katharinehayhoe.com spend time trying to educate others, mostly linking to her website FAQ

It felt like could be often automated / bot would often be more effective - "🤖 hi, you appear to be making an ad hominem remark rather than addressing the point"

AFAIK this is incorrect.

Any flight permission is from the IAA. They are rather asked to let Manna know of their flight details just before they fly - and it's then Manna's responsibility to avoid them.

And probably would be higher if that 13% of the cohort hadn't emigrated.

It's illegal to park opposite a continuous white line. www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1997/si/...

At very least, a refresher repeat of the online driver theory test should be required when people have to renew their driving licence once per decade.

I noticed recently that DLR Co Co have these on their development plans. Is that unusual or just without teeth?

What do these (Dublin city centre) signs want pedestrians to do? 🤔

@pfrazee.com Hi Paul, any way to share my 'pinned' (if that's the right term) feeds with others?

I can't recall where I found the Popular With Friends one and can't see a way to find a sharing link.

The transit app allows that, so it must already be possible? Though it may be using timetabled ghost buses rather than reality if that's what the API is providing it.

Not at a glance I wouldn't have.

But knowing that it is, and looking in detail...this man has too many fingers and all the bike lights are the exact same.

This time penalty pricing by ESB doesn't makes sense for standard on-street car charging....or am I missing something?

Up to 10 hours - 0 penalty.

Then the next 45 minutes costs €22.50

Then all the time in the world after that is free.
