The way you mark a monitor as a main monitor in MacOS is the least intuitive process I could imagine.

I'm really impressed with how great of a job Bluesky does at nuking bots. I'm sure the other site could have done it too, but they inflate the narcissists' perceived impression of himself so he lets him hang around

I've had the sound track for expedition 33 stuck in my head for two days. Mainly Gustave

Forgive the earnest post here, but one year ago this week, Global Tetrahedron took over The Onion. We've since brought back the paper and ONN, dramatically increased revenue, and hired more writers and artists.

But most importantly, as other places debased themselves, we refused to bend the knee.

Really enjoying using Obsidian for note taking. The plugin economy there is wild, people have done some really cool things that _just work_ with markdown. Like the Excalidraw plugin or an entire markdown-based Kanban board. Pretty cool stuff! #anythingbutjira

I pumped, I made my first PR to #IonicFramework today for a ticket and found out it addresses an actual community issue 💪 I'm excited I now get to contribute directly to open source as my job!

Another day another feature 💪 Love playing with #godot for RPG Sessions. This time it's a minimal image editor for cropping portrait images or making them into tokens more suitable for a map. I got to play with shaders a *lot* here!

Today RPG Sessions launched Sessions Maps, which we've been working hard on for the past several months. It's been really fun getting to play with #godot and tying it into our existing work in such an amazing way! It's not quite a game, but it's still an excellent use of the game engine!

It's been 2 years since we asked the @nytimes.com to improve their trans coverage, meet with trans community leaders, and hire trans journalists. Why won't they meet with trans leaders?

Honestly, the #godot UI control system is such a pleasure to work with. It's a lot like working with CSS, you just gotta get a little creative and it can do anything you want

I've been having so much fun with #godot and I can't wait to show what I've been working on, I just can't right now because it's in a secret phase and some people follow me for whom the secret would be ruined. Just know that I'm still at it, unlike a lot of other hobbies I've picked up in the past

Now that net neutrality is dead, AT&T can do all those cool things they said they were gonna do for customers if only net neutrality didn't exist. Right? Right??

Every time I hear somebody downplaying Y2K I think about the many people who spent a lot of time making sure it actually wasn't a big deal.

"If you do everything right, nobody will be sure you've done anything at all"
DAMMIT NPR.

I spent nine months upgrading over TEN THOUSAND desktops at a F500 client. The grand total was over SEVENTY THOUSAND applications upgraded.

Y2K "didn't live up to the hype" because the industry busted ass to duct tape everything first.
npr.org NPR @npr.org · Dec 28
People feared the computer glitch would mean "the end of the world as we know it." Thankfully, Y2K didn't live up to the hype after years and billions of dollars were spent on painstaking preparation.

Had to get a passport-style photo taken at a Walgreens in the US and a weird guy walked past and said "hell yeah white boy you take that picture" and I laughed for a full minute. I can tell I'm still fighting not to laugh in this but it's probably not too obvious right. Do I need to retake this
