Here’s my take on “AI will end software engineering.” I don’t think it will. I believe it will greatly enhance our ability to create software, and it may lead to walls between product and engineering getting torn down. The issue I see that that the industry is over leveraged in shitty SaaS services.

The thing about Assassins Creed is you can tell Ubisoft has a lot of talented developers that are passionate about what they do. There are aspects I love about their open worlds and gameplay. But… They need new vision on the story and quest design side of the house. It’s just, uninspired.

Really sad how mid #Avowed is. I’m not one to expect masterpieces with every release, but it just feels like modern RPGs forgot what made good RPGs. And why is dialog so damn bad? I guess Baldurs Gate 3 just ruined all RPGs for me with it’s competent writing and dialog. So much exposition…

We now live in a time where people that aren’t even in leadership positions of game studios are causing harm to their company by things they said. Y’all listen. Button it up. Have a professional online presence and keep the political arguments to thanksgiving dinner with unc. 🎮

It’s crazy to me the hate that #intergalactic is getting. Even more crazy when I try to engage with the people and they can’t even tell me what they dislike, it’s just “DEI Slop!” or something similar. It’s cool to not be into a character design, I’m still mixed on it, but this isn’t that.

The endless pursuit of better graphics has largely kneecapped what used to make games great. I wouldn’t even say this gen looks better than the last, it’s just a blurry upscale mess. Few games today buck the trend, and for those that do THANK YOU!

I feel like there’s a gap in the YT space for criticism of the industry that counteracts all of this “woke” BS being put out by channels like Endymion, Smash JT and the like. There are definitely things that should be discussed, but we’ve let “woke mindvirus” nuts control the narrative. 🎮

Anyone else find Endymion insufferable? Like, dude talks about DEI this, woke that, woman shouldn’t be main characters, etc. Then Stellar Blade comes out and he’s foaming at the mouth. I think he just has a porn addiction and uses YT to express.

I feel like Asgards Wrath 2 should be nominated for game of the year. It’s absolutely incredible what they managed to pull off in VR… incredible. It’s a shame VR is still so niche.

My .02 on Veilgaurd. Some of the visuals are quite nice and for a bit the combat is okay, but the dialog and character development is so bad. So bad.
