I recommended my boy try FFX as a good starting point for the Final Fantasy series. He's a FFXIV nut, but this is his first rodeo with a mainline single-player experience.
After a terrible beginning thanks to a poorly optimized HD Steam remaster, he's made good progress!

My cousin passed away last night, barely 30 years old... his parents were told that because of his condition, he would be lucky to make it to 12 years old. He fought his whole life until the very end, and I hope he's at peace now.
