This will be borderline meaningless so long as Aileen Cannon's idiotic order prohibiting discussion of his report remains in place. If not, Smith should risk her ire by speaking out about that report. No one should respect her decisions anyway because she is a dishonest, unqualified partisan hack.

Kristi Noem continues to repeat lies about Renee Good. Good's family should sue for defamation, because these lies are clearly told with actual malice, so Noem won't be protected by the qualified immunity typically granted to executive branch officials.

The Dems need to push for another shutdown, but they need to do it the right way this time. Tie it to stopping ICE abuses. Don't use it for ordinary legislative leverage, which normalizes shutdowns and undermines the argument that they are taking extreme measures to address extreme provocations.

All this ICE activity in MN is just the beginning. They haven't ramped up spending to levels allocated to them by Trump's BBB.

Yale should revoke @jd-vance-1.bsky.social's law degree for spouting nonsense like claiming ICE officers have "absolute immunity." Any 1L knows better. It really makes me question the value of a law degree from an institution that doesn't even bother with grades.

GOOD! DONT FORGET ABOUT THE EPSTEIN FILES!

Maybe if we start referring to NATO as OTAN, Trump will forget he is opposed to it

No “Oreshnik” is needed for that. Stop talking about russian Wunderwaffe that exists for propaganda. It’s drones, missiles, and bombs they kill us with. Focus on what matters!

There are 30,000 ICE agents and 1.3m lawyers in the US. That's 43 lawyers per agent. Let's start filing lawsuits every single day against every single agent until they start obeying the law. No more dragnets, no more attacking protestors, no more pepper spraying kids at school, no more murders.
January 10, 2026 at 9:34 AM
When ICE agents try to intimidate protestors by quoting irrelevant statutes like 18 USC §111, as they seem to have been coached to do, protestors should refer them to this case and tell them they will be held personally liable for their illegal threats. It's time to sue ICE agents out of existence.
The federal government Friday agreed to pay $125,000 after a judge found a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent liable for civil assault for pointing a gun at a hotel maintenance man who came to the agent’s room to unclog a toilet.
Feds pay $125K after Border Patrol agent pointed gun at Portland hotel worker
The payout amount was finalized during a settlement conference Friday after a judge found the officer civilly liable for assault.

Trump got away with Maduro because Americans are not going to turn out to protest for such an awful person. That won't happen with Greenland. The American people and our elected representatives (as feckless as they may otherwise be) will not accept if Trump attacks our allies.

Vance said the ICE murderer had previously been hit by a car in the line of duty. Demonstrates what a fucking moron he is. Someone with a brain would have learned not to stand in front of cars.
January 10, 2026 at 4:44 AM
"Just comply" doesn't work when ICE agents make contradictory demands, which they do because they are incompetent fucking morons. e.g., this veteran they kidnapped for three days for literally no reason at all. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I1X...

The NY Times needs to grow a pair and say it like it is for once. Noem lied. She lied. The video is clear. Noem defamed the innocent victim of a ruthless execution at the hands of government thugs under her command. Stop the fucking sane washing.

Jeffries, Schumer express concern over Trump's plan to annex Greenland
January 7, 2026 at 4:48 PM
There has been disconcertingly little discussion of the complete absence of legal authority for Trump to invade Greenland w/o congressional authorization. Even an administration this mendacious would struggle to invent a counter-terrorism pretext sufficient for the AUMF.
January 7, 2026 at 3:49 PM
Other than early warning radars, the only US security interest in Greenland is protecting sea lines of communication over the Atlantic to European allies in the event they are attacked by Russia. We thus have no need for Greenland if we leave NATO, and destroying NATO by seizing it makes no sense.
January 7, 2026 at 2:42 PM
There is nothing the US can gain from invading Greenland that we do not already receive via existing NATO security arrangements or free trade. Trump's foreign policy is indistinguishable from what a gaggle of 12 year-olds playing Risk would dream up.

I really feel bad for Jake Tapper. You couldn't pay me enough to have a conversation with Stephen Miller without calling him a fucking moron repeatedly
January 7, 2026 at 11:07 AM
If snatching Maduro was legal as a law enforcement action, what does that have to do with oil? How does seizing a foreign country's oil reserves relate to enforcing drug laws?

"The incoherence of the admin's communication suggests what happens next in Venezuela will be an unfolding series of screwups. If these clowns can’t even get the American public to support a war, do we really think they’ll be able to manage an infinitely more difficult task of nation-building?"
Trump's Venezuela adventure is already a propaganda disaster
Nobody is buying it, and we don't even know what they're trying to sell.

Medieval English King Henry II employed an entertainer called Roland the Farter, who was contractually obligated to emit at least one loud fart per day. I used to think humanity had progressed since the Middle Ages but now we've made the farter the king.

Men who think and act like 12 year-old schoolyard bullies are in charge of US foreign policy. Stephen Miller is not ready for a world where might makes right, because he will quickly find that he is not mighty at all when he can't hide behind Trump's skirts.
January 6, 2026 at 6:07 PM
The good news is that capturing Maduro gives the Trump admin an opportunity to deescalate the situation without employing any additional military force, avoiding an Iraq-like quagmire. Hopefully he takes the W and calls it a day.
