Are these dems out of their minds? They're going to cave now for what, a pinky promise they'll get a vote? The sheer delusion and unseriousness of these people is astounding. The backlash to this needs to be furious. Demand they fund healthcare for the people or NO DEAL.

NEW YORK (AP) — Fresh off winning New York City’s mayoral election, Zohran Mamdani announced Wednesday that a team including former city and federal officials — all women — would steer his transition to City Hall, and that he would “work every day to honor the trust that I now hold.” “I and my team will build a City Hall capable of delivering on the promises of this campaign,” the mayor-elect said at a news conference, vowing that his administration would be both compassionate and capable. He named political strategist Elana Leopold as executive director of the transition team. She will work with United Way of New York City President Grace Bonilla; former Deputy Mayor Melanie Hartzog, who was also a city budget official; former Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan; and former First Deputy Mayor Maria Torres-Springer.

Yep. We knew this 2 years ago when Andy Beshear won by flipping *coal country* blue without waffling on trans rights or abortion. People are mobilized by genuine leaders who stick to their values, not wishy-washy 'moderates' who toss vulnerable people overboard because some consultant told them to.
