There’s a org here that hosts salon discussions. They talk about everything from reality tv reflecting the lack of intimacy in dating today to why there’s an increase of loneliness in the age of social media. That was such a good venue to meet people

I wanna host team game nights and Pilates classes so people can make new friends. The only thing the people will cover is the cost of materials/venue. I don’t really wanna make any money from this.

For my dance parties, ladies and dolls will be in free for the first 90 minutes of the event and men will be $5, idc. We need to get back to our roots. After that, $10 for everyone.

Part 3 of the book was beautifully done. The poetry was engaging.

I did think it was ambitious, following 5 Black women and jumping back in the past or future randomly to tell their stories. Each voice was unique but these women did not speak to each other either warmth. In fact, the sisters hate each other.
