This image from the Chimpanze trek is one I have never shared. I have thousands of photos I have never closely examined. I share this image now in anticipation of tomorrow, spending a few hours with a living legend. ❤️

Volunteering as a guide for the river blinds. The Sandhill Cranes were unmoved by the mass take-off of the Snow Geese at sunrise. The current count is 583,00 +/- 76,000 cranes, and still arriving by the tens of thousands.

Just a friendly reminder that the Sandhill Crane migration in Nebraska is just around the corner! There are approximately 18,000 here at the moment, and in just a few weeks, there will be upward of 700,000 filling the sky, cornfields and roosting on the Platte River.

We saw this cutie on our first afternoon exploring Churchill. Don't be fooled by this sweet cuddle muffin. Polar bears are apex predators, and they love people. 🐻‍❄️
