Such a privilege once again, to witness people with dementia coming together for the first time feeling safe to pipe up without feeling stupid or that they'll be interrupted or corrected or struggle to get the right words out - a space to get a word in edgeways! @louiseheatley.bsky.social
Day one of yet another #AGoodLifeWithDementia course in #eastriding started today. As ever- nervous, joyous, insightful, shared learning amongst peers with dementia. Just brilliant. This is the ‘backbone of the recovery model!’

How should you respond to a regime that has disregard for health and wellbeing, ignores the central role of inequalities in poor health outcomes, and believes science and scholarship to be enemies of progress?

My latest post is now out.

I show how Trump's attacks on science and universities are neither random nor new - they fit very precisely into the authoritarian playbook.

This means we can guess what might come next and prepare - and we must!

I am aware that there has been papers and talk recently about “imposter” qualitative research participants. This is probably a controversial question but is anyone seeing the same issues in people applying to be patient and public partners in research? Any strategies to deal with this? #PPIE
