Nothing can mutely say “kill me now” like a newly-bathed dog given. a Jingly collar 😉

"The whole panoply of the universe has been neatly expressed to [animals] as things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks."
Terry Pratchett, Equal Rites
I notice that Love Bun went straight to (d), knocking it over. When the reindeer was put back, he decided to eat it instead 😘

But … but … but … the reason we went into IT was so we could work with computers rather than having to interact with other people. Academics double down on this: we build theories rather than relationships. The only problem with working at a university is having to deal with students 😉

Take some shake or protein powder with you? And a shaker bottle!
You’ll have to participate in some solid meals, just for family peace. But you can make your own shakes for others 😏

It happened a lot when I was a kid. Ppl were poor as dirt, couldn’t afford to stock the pantry ahead. My Mom had young kids & could not always get to the shops. She would often borrow eggs, butter, or flour from a neighbor to make a meal. Then she’d pay them back when she could next get out.

The silicon soup cubes/silicon freezer trays are ideal for freezing extra portions. You can just heat your casserole in the microwave from frozen. You can get different sizes - I find the 2-cup capacity is brilliant for portioning out soups, stews, and pasta dishes. 🍜🥘🍝

That’s like my Mom puzzling over why she was gaining weight:
“I’ve been eating this diet chocolate every day after dinner, but it’s not working.”
I observe that chocolate clearly says “Meal Replacement Bar” so she should eat it INSTEAD of dinner.
“Oh - is that how it works?”

Because they can.
