And a cup of tea at perfect drinking temperature.
All I want is a manor in the Scottish countryside, the ominous rumble of thunder in the distance, an Agatha Christie novel, a kettle on the stove, a vintage armchair, an emotional support owl, and a basket of freshly-baked pastries.

Looking for some help: Famous people who became famous for their work with animals. Or even animals who work. Could be fictional or real. Examples: St. Francis of Assisi, Hannibal, Steve Irwin, Jane Goodall. Can you think of others?

More from my retired reading doggie! We worked with two organizations to help kids with their reading skills. I prioritize education in my charitable activities. If we want to snuff out racism, bigotry, ignorance (and other words we use to describe the incoming administration) education is a must.

My dog Ernie was a Reading Dog, who worked a day a week at the library letting kids read aloud to him. Sometimes they wrote letters to him and, yes, sometimes they got lots of puppy kisses in return!

Living in northern Michigan, we are surrounded by deer hunters right now. We crossed the bridge to the upper peninsula, and they shared this history of how many deer hunters have brought over the Mackinac Bridge each year since 1957.

Read a great sentence today in Rupert Holmes’ novel Murder Your Employer:

She avoided his overtures like a theatergoer that loved Hammerstein but hated Rodgers .
