Here in Kaohsiung, visited Air Force Museum. Saw different MiG fighters and IL bomber that defected to Taiwan from the PRC. Saw F104‘s, F-5s and F 100s I watched flying over Taiwan back in the mid 80s. Also saw a couple of interesting flight simulators and massive UHF radios. Lotta things to see.

I assume this was supposed to be Pacers stun Thunder but u never know.

50 years ago, when the fall of Saigon was imminent, an iconic photo was taken of people clamoring to get on a helicopter on top of the Pittman Apts or old CIA building. Today, the building/shack remain, surrounded by modern buildings.

Visited the Cu Chi Tunnels. One side underground and the other trying to crush them with every means possible.

Last night, ate some great Vietnamese cuisine and then visited walking street. Exotic dancers and bands playing Western rock .

In Berlin a few months back. This was at the Taiwan consulate which is in former East Berlin. Above Hitler’s bunker was a Taiwan Boba tea store. Go figure.

Near Taiwan’s most southern tip is this light house designed by British/American engineers in late 19th c. It was fortified against attacks from an indigenous tribe.
