Aurora Borealis in south-central Wisconsin on November 12, 2025. The second night of the geomagnetic storm (we were socked in with clouds on the 11th).

On Saturday, August 30 the Mariner’s Inn ends a 59 year run as one of Madison’s most beloved supper clubs. My parents had a tradition of taking us there once or twice a year, and except for Covid, I’ve kept that tradition going. Tonight we went there one last time. I will miss it very much.

Calvin has had them twice in just over a year. The second time instead of traditional surgery we had an expensive laser treatment and he was feeling much better the same day. Fortunately he likes his special diet. Paws crossed for Geezer.

The schnauzers can confirm.
