S’il n’était pas encore présent en France, il y avait un grand risque qu’il arrive tôt ou tard sur le territoire. 🔎 Une étude #INRAE révèle où se concentrent ses #insectes vecteurs et met en avant l’usage d’insectes sentinelles pour renforcer la surveillance.

Transmise par des insectes se nourrissant de la sève des plantes, la bactérie Xylella fastidiosa menace des cultures emblématiques comme la vigne et l’olivier. Encore absente des vignobles en France, elle progresse ailleurs en Europe et reste une inquiétude majeure. Une vaste étude menée dans le sud du pays, révèle où se concentrent les insectes vecteurs et met en avant l’usage d’insectes sentinelles afin de renforcer l’épidémiosurveillance et détecter efficacement toute nouvelle introduction de la bactérie.
