November 6, 2025 at 12:15 PM
#SFFChat Q3: What aspects of your work would you most like to stick with readers?

This was poorly phrased! Sort of, "what would you most like readers to take away" but in a less immediate sense.
November 6, 2025 at 12:02 PM

#SFFChat Q4: Share an excerpt that involves a monster or creature or some kind (or a villain, if you have neither!). Any use of the word "monster" is also good! (:
October 30, 2025 at 11:00 PM
#SFFChat Q3: What kinds of monsters/creatures exist in your work? OR, how would your characters respond if a monster suddenly appeared?
October 30, 2025 at 10:41 PM
#SFFChat Q2: What kinds of monster stories do you prefer (or maybe you don't like them at all! Share what does or doesn't appeal)?

e.g. sympathetic monster stories, traditional monster stories, monster romance, maybe a specific type of monster, etc.
October 30, 2025 at 10:25 PM
#SFFChat Q1: What is the role of the monster in SFF? Doesn't have to be a traditional monster--interpret as you like (including moral monstrosity, etc)! Maybe you like friendly monsters, sympathetic monsters, sexy monsters!
October 30, 2025 at 10:11 PM
#SFFChat Intro!: Introduce yourself and share something spooky (maybe something you find spooky, a spooky fact, something spooky that happened to you, or something your characters find spooky)!

Also, we're back! Looking forward to chatting tonight. (:

Apologies that the October prompt list for #SFFChat is so late! When I wasn't able to get it done for the first I wasn't sure if I should do it, but in the end I made one.

Hope the continuation of the spooky theme isn't a bother--interpret the prompts as broadly as you need to (including snippets)

#SFFChat Outro: Thanks for answering tonight! Comment on someone's snippet, then comment here with something you'd like shared! (:

Interpret however you like!
October 2, 2025 at 11:03 PM
#SFFChat Q3: What SFF or speculative horror author do you think does creepy scenes esp. well? Maybe there's an author who you don't read because they scared you so much, or a fantasy writer whose prose raises the hair on your arms (because it's creepy, not because it's bad, ahaha).
October 2, 2025 at 10:50 PM
#SFFChat Q2: Is there any spooky imagery you're especially fond of?
October 2, 2025 at 10:30 PM
#SFFChat Q1: What role does horror play in SFF? (or replace "horror" with fear, spookiness, or another similar thing!)
