New accepted paper of our SFB colleagues working on #sun #compass #orientation in #migrating sticklebacks: Behavioural experiments revealed ecotype-dependent differences: The orientation ability is present in the anadromous ecotype, but random in the freshwater ecotype. doi.org/10.1093/iob/...

New publication on #cryptochrome 1 by our SFB researchers and colleagues! 👫🦧🦍 #CRY1 in the outer segments of blue cone #photoreceptors might have several different functions including at least one nonclock function. Several versions of CRY1 might exist in humans: doi.org/10.1096/fj.202402614R
