Just finished section 2 of lex talions by @rsagarcia.bsky.social and the duel fight scenes at the end of section 2 were so cool! Perfectly choreographed on so many levels.

Just started this from a Catalonian author, so far so good. Slightly odd wetting style, with number paragraphs in each chapter and most paragraphs starting with the word "And" nice premise no very sci fi so far though.

Finished a Hungarian book, a South Korean book, soviet union book, and now onto a French Canadian book. Oh yeah, all sci fi. Obviously. Whilst on holiday in France.

Hungarian sci fi dystopian weirdness from Fenenc Karinthy. It's insanely engrossing, and I don't know why. I just love reading about this bloke who's stuck in a crazy over populated metropolis and the stuff he gets up to.

Crying uncontrollably whilst listening to "Tales from the cafe" by @kawaguchicoffee.bsky.social . Japanese time traveling fiction at its most heart wrenching!

Pub talk last night somehow got on to the word apogee, my mate said it was to do with the maximum height of a rocket. I was like: (smug with knowledge from reading Jules Verne) "nope it's the distance of the moon from earth at its furthest reach". He googled it, he lost. :)

One of my customers in his late 70s spotted part of my tattoo, and asked if it was a sci-fi tattoo, and said yes and then we got into a massive conversations about African literature and juju futurism. I recommend some @nnedi.bsky.social for him to read! Good day spreading world science fiction work

Picture of a big ass mushroom I spotted on a walk. Nothing to do with sci fi. But they are really weird things

This arrived today! Old school sci-fi from New Zealand, 2 stories out of a possible 3 in this volume, the 3rd having been presumed lost and never discovered. First published in 1881! This is going to be a treat!
