I think wrapping up my book that I've been writing for YEARS within hours of learning that Meta has stolen countless books from authors I love is sobering.
I should be celebrating, not laying in bed catastrophizing the fate of my writing if I keep pushing forward.

I think wrapping up my book that I've been writing for YEARS within hours of learning that Meta has stolen countless books from authors I love is sobering.

I need to stop rereading my workshop submissions when I'm running on less than five hours of sleep. For example, if I find a typo or some other error, I'm convinced that I'm gonna get roasted and that I need to key my car or something.

Confirming to myself that I'll be taking a two week minimum break after finishing up revising and sending out query letters is honestly incentive enough for me to get everything all done cause???? That sounds so pleasant.

To give you an idea of how my holidays are going. My Great Granny asked me if I'm still writing and what I'm up to with that, and during me explaining everything, she's giving me the most lead paint stare I've ever seen and lets the conversation die. And she wonders why she'll never see my work.

Writing another version of my own trauma knowing that it's gonna make me sob again during edits later, was a... decision.

Hozier keeps proving to me why I listen to mostly his songs when writing scenes featuring my main couple. Man released a fifteen second snippet of an unreleased song, and my brain said, "Ah yes, more material for my Odysseus and Penelope couple. Thank you, kind sir." I will never know rest or peace.
