She’s never made a bad comic. When I read The Basilisk recently I had to instantly go back and read it again right away because it was so good and so mysteriously affecting. Not something I feel compelled to do very often.

I really love that pre-Crisis Moench Batman run, it was like the last gasp of the old DC, nobody cared or was paying attention upstairs, and it just had this really weird, moody tone, full of gothy romance and apocalyptic vibes.

Writing On Games, Dunkey, Iron Pineapple, Saint Riot. I like a good mix of positive vibes and humor with smart, opinionated takes.

Actually making the joke would be violating the spirit of the score. The comedian should walk up to the mic and then just stand there.

It's Bandcamp Friday and as a first listen to a new purchase, I'm really enjoying this Sarah Hennies double disc set this morning. Incredibly dynamic and beautiful compositions, covering a very wide range across an hour and a half. newworldrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sarah-...

It's on my short list as well. Really unique combination of sounds and ideas.

I like that every Yan Jun project I hear sounds different. This one is abrasive, sputtering harsh noise made with feedback. Intense, but still feels more controlled than not. Good stuff. norentrecords.bandcamp.com/album/hongko...

There’s so much! I’ve been doing a sporadic deep dive for a while now and will eventually put together a best of Bandcamp roundup for him. It’s easy to miss some of his best work amidst the sheer volume.
