The Whole Town's Talking by Fannie Flagg wasn't the best ending to this series. 150 years of the town, everything superficial, and weird purgatory in cemetery...a "cozy mess" that went nowhere, but it at least had a few crows...#bookstodon

58. The Dogs of Venice by Steven Rowley. Long short story (not even novella length) about a guy whose boyfriend dumps him during the holidays, but he still goes on his holiday to Venice and befriends a stray dog to start healing a broken heart. Sweet but short. #bookstodon

Theodore Boone: The Abduction is ok, just not as good. It's more like Grisham's later 2010s and 2020s books than his 1990s. Plot point plot point plot point, telling a story. #bookstodon

@germ Or you could just film yourself saying “fuck off” while flipping them off with both hands…with a “I was completely satisfied until being asked to make a video and now I will never return” comment…

When the Light Goes Out, the fourth in the series by Larry McMurtry, wasn't as good as Duane's Depressed, but not as bad as Texasville. Just so much cringe about all these women throwing themselves for a guy who needs triple bypass....but it had some good moments. #bookstodon

@billzismyname They sadly are the only streamer producing shows that I am interested in though (Disclaimer: I don’t know what my boyfriend subscribes to for free AppleTV lol)

Ok, watched episodes 2 and 3 and it just isn't grabbing me...despite the cast.
