It's time for a rewatch of The Addams Family (1991), one of my faves and why I can't even with the Netflix show Wednesday...also can be viewed as a Harmony Kendall origin story.

Murder in broad daylight.

A Heron, geese and a cardinal were witnesses and don’t even seem to care! What is the world coming to?

I’ve been meaning to figure out how to see iCloud Photos on my Mac for about five years now.

It took less than a minute to figure it out right now.

Will my ADHD self learn? Doubtful.

I wonder how birds perceive leaves falling off trees.

Balcón de los Buitres
Balcón de los Buitres (Irurtzun) 6 km 18 de septiembre de 2015 Hotel Castillo de Javier (65€) Pamplona (en español más abajo) After arriving in Pamplona, population 208, 243, I dropped my backpack off and walked around Pamplona a bit, having my first pintxo de tortilla (con ali oli and jamón) in the Plaza del Castillo before heading back to the bus station to catch a 12:00 bus to Irurtzun. About 20 minutes later I was arriving to Irurtzun, population 2316. It was 34 Celsius, one reason why I started off with a shorter hike. Despite being short, there was a lot of elevation, and it was steep, made worse with the heat. I ran into a group of younger hikers heading the opposite way, so at least I knew I wasn’t completely crazy. The views of the mountains (especially Beriain) were great, and there were a lot of cool rock formations, along with the namesake vultures. There was a little backtracking to the main loop, but it was worth it for the views. The descent was steep, but thankfully it went through a forest with the heat. I arrived back in town for a late lunch at Hostal Manchain (garbanzos, albóndigas, tarta helado for only 13.50€, a real deal. I caught the bus back to Pamplona, officially checked in at the hotel (it was nice and cozy) and found where the Camino Viejo left from the next morning. I watched the sunset from the Parque Taconera and enjoyed watching all the birds and deer that call it home. I had empanadas for dinner, as it was Thursday so all the pintxo bars were packed for pintxo pote, which always overwhelms me. I had to get some rest anyway, as the following day the Camino Viejo would official begin. A continuación… Unos 20 minutos después estaba llegando a Irurtzun, población 2316. Can't Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg is a step up from the second Elmwood Springs book, as it has a focused plot. Aunt Elner has a strange trip and her family reacts. Small town Missouri means casual racism and homophobia which ruins what would otherwise be small town cozy though. #bookstodon

I grew up reading John Grisham in the 1990s and still read everything he writes, except I never read the Theodore Boone series until now. Just read Kid Lawyer, and it was typical Grisham, just at a YA level. Ridiculous but fun. #bookstodon

Debating checking out Damages.

Per doesthedogdie I need to skip the pilot episode. Will I be lost? Is the pilot the only episode I have to skip? How procedural/episodic is it?

Love the cast especially Rose Byrne but…

17 de septiembre de 2023 Zaragoza Hostal Cumbre (35€) I arrived to Zaragoza, capital of Aragón and one of the largest cities in Spain with a population of 686, 986, around 16.30 and caught a taxi to Hostal Cumbre, where I had stayed before in 2023. After the disaster last year at Hotel Central París, I’d rather stay in a place I knew was clean and comfortable. After dropping off my backpack, I went exploring. I’ve visited Zaragoza a few times before, so this time was mainly walking the streets near the basilica and bird watching near the bridge (Puente de Piedra). I met up with my Catalán friend for an Aquarius and tapas before resting for the final stretch of travel before arriving at the beginning of this year’s Camino. I had to wake up all too early to find coffee and breakfast before heading to the bus station for an 8.15 bus. There weren’t a lot of places open, but I found one nearby and luckily found a taxi near the hotel to arrive at Zaragoza Delicias. Somewhere along the way, my headphones broke as one of the earphones just fell off. It was the start of many things breaking along this Camino. The bus ride was fine, and by 10:30 I was finding my way to my Pamplona hotel to drop off my backpack and get the 2025 Camino officially started. A continuación… Today's Sunday Vintage Movie was The Great Outdoors (1988). I had high hopes for this one due to the cast and written by John Hughes, but it aged like Full House...the racoons were the best part.

Duane's Depressed by Larry McMurtry is a step up from the mid Texasville, not quite as good as The Last Picture Show. There's some racial slurs that shouldn't be in a book from 1999 *sigh* Otherwise I would recommend this continuation, even if my fave characters spoiler redacted #bookstodon

Doing a quick rewatch of The Real O'Neals because I saw it's leaving Hulu (supposedly). It's somehow better than I remember.

It's the sitcom journey (no laugh track, take that Mid Century Modern) of a gay teen in a Catholic family with Martha Plimpton as the mom.
